Preparing to go out for hatsumode with the wife! Maybe it's a bit early to start fantasizing about that, but I'm not gonna let that stop me! I'm really happy to see you go with this prompt, as I've been craving more NY's art of her. Her different kimonos are simply too gorgeous to not want to see more of.
There's nothing I'd like more than to start the new year like this, smiling by her side. She looks gorgeous in her kimono, and I love that I get to be all dressed up with her too. The subtle way we kind of match is a nice touch, too; her yellow kimono and red obi, next to my red kimono and yellow obi. The whole piece feels so wholesome, even the colors and lighting feel warm and welcoming. Her surprised face is so adorable, it makes me want to just gently hold her face in my hands. Or pinch her cheeks. Either is fine.
