I watched and read it for the first time in 2011 when i was 21ish, and followed the manga from there on with bated breath until he died. i laughed with everyone about how he would die before it finished, and then it actually happened - it just really fucking hurt, and still does.
but life moves on, and a year later i've made peace with it. i never expected a continuation, but i'm glad to get it and look forward to reading it with you all
