Literally had a girl drive miles from her house up north just to come to a party I was hosting for some friends in high school and wanted to stay the night but I simply declined.
Another girl in high school (who I thought was cute) straight up just invited me to to go walk with her around the zoo at night for an event, and I said no since I thought that sounded dumb. In reality I think I just didn't believe that anyone wanted to really go out with me even though in hindsight yeah a lot of girls were pretty into me.
The only date I ever went on happened because a friend overheard some girl we both knew calling me cute with her friend. Nothing happened though and she eventually ended up going out with some other dude while we were talking. (Hurt a lot, but that's just life)
I think I was 17 when that happened and I'm 26 now, still haven't been on a date since. Got a really good job, decent looks, and I'm even concious of a few advances I've gotten in recent years, but self-esteem 100% just gets in the way every single time.
Pretty sure I need medical help.
