I loved Isidro as a character. I loved watching him gradually improve and grow as a person under Guts' care. I loved him looking up to Guts and sparring with him and even finding a cute little hillbilly mermaid wife to impress. Moreso than Farnese who was undergoing a similar personal journey. If I'm being honest, one of my greatest regrets is that I won't be able to see his arc continue, specifically.

That's a sin because everyone hates Isidro and thinks he ruined the series. I don't agree but that's the consensus I keep running afoul of

I enjoy the interactions and gradual development of Guts' current group, and how far Guts has come from the deep, dark hole he found himself in during the Black Swordsman days. I'd give almost anything for Berserk to have a regular release schedule again, even the amount of detail put into the artwork. Hell at this point I'd be more than willing to just read the story like a regular book. I just want more Berserk.

Golden Age might be my least favorite arc overall. It's better written than some arcs I'm more fond of, but it was a tad more grounded and less fantastical than the rest, prior to Griffith's capture. I love it for the great character development, but other arcs were just way more fun.

Forces is catchy but I hate Tell Me Why.

I wish none of the Berserk anime existed. They're all a travesty.

Nope, he's my third favorite character as well. I love watching him slowly grow as a character and come into his own. I have a soft spot for characters that start off weak or comic relief and gradually, by their own efforts, become a force to be reckoned with.

I hope there are more little scenes where he and Guts spar.

We don't often see him training anymore. During the Golden Age we could assume if he wasn't fighting or sleeping he was training, but post Eclipse I don't think he's had much time for anything besides walking, fighting all night and sleeping during the day.

Ever since he got new party members we've seen him spar with Isidro every once in a while if he isn't laid out from fighting the night before. That's probably the most "practice" he gets outside of actual combat these days.

I wonder when Isidro will actually be more of a challenge than his nightly life or death battles before the brand was sealed.

He seems like he's only there for comic relief but he actually takes all of this very seriously. I look forward to his continued growth as he becomes more reliable.

I guess it helps that I do find Isidro's antics entertaining for the most part. Especially the way he plays off of Schierke. He and Puck also have good chemistry.

Having characters like Isidro and Schierke around puts Guts' character in an interesting light. At times he seems almost fatherly around them. Guts would have made a good dad. ;_;

I like Isidro a lot. I love characters who start small and you get to see them get stronger over time. His determination and his attitude have really grown on me. He's steadily been improving too, which I also enjoy seeing.

We also get scenes like this. Guts sparring with him just makes me smile. If only young Guts had been able to find someone like this instead of his fuckfest of a father figure.

Aww I like Isidro. Here's another scene I like, Isidro sparring against Guts.

Maybe he'll get killed and Guts will revert back to the dark, brooding loner he was in the first few volumes. I wouldn't necessarily mind as long as it was well written.

But in my opinion, everything so far has been.
