In the 00s I've been using mangaupdates, mangatraders and lurk combine also following any scanlators sites by bookmarking them and doing RSS feed shit.
I even joined their sicreet club XD irc channel to get exclusive chapters.
Now those sites and channels are either dead or slow as fuck because these days scanlators doesn't care in making their own channel or site because people doesn't come to their site anymore.
Because of this shit some scanlators only posted on online manga site where you can't download shit unless you used some third party apps of browser addon.
What even worst if those site suddenly got shutdown by DMCA or some attention whore scanlator demand that their scanlation to be taken down.
Even if there are multiple online manga aggregator out there the quality of the scans will goes down because some of them are compressed to shit quality

Even madokami got many series that ripped from MANGAFOX complete with their watermark and they are complete slow right now.
What we need is not a shitty online manga site that will get taken down in every two fucking years, what we really need is a reliable scanlated manga database that always up to date so we can see which new chapters exist so people can used either torrent, IRC or other shitty P2P based system so these chapters can exist forever.
Having billions of online site mean nothing if you got no decent database to track them all, and mangaupdates doing bad job for it because their search system is complete shit.
Mangadex got a better tags and link system compare to their previous predecesor, but its shit because of the scanlator drama and soon it also will be gone because of DMCA shit.
A database manga won't be a target for DMCA shit because its just a fucking database, but hey there is no profit on doing this because you guys only care about donation money.
