If someone who carried some weight actually said “I’ll help you” to Sasuke he would’ve never even considered Orochimaru. Tsunade should’ve reached out, Jiraiya would’ve been helpful too even if he had no reason to and was busy with Naruto. They know Orochimaru and could’ve helped keep him away from Sasuke if that’s what they were worried about. Itachi was believed to be a wanted criminal so nobody had a reason not to help Sasuke hunt him down.
Instead all he got was Kakashi going “shit sucks and revenge bad, get over it”. Motherfucker your dad and two friends committed suicide. That’s still not nearly as bad enough as your entire family being wiped out in one night. Asshole.
Hell, even Naruto only said “I’ll break all your bones to bring you back.” Never “Let me help you, we’ll kill Itachi together.”
