In fact, most unfinished masterpieces such as Hunter x Hunter, Summa Theologica, Dead Souls, Tezuka's Phoenix, Inoue's Vagabond, Glass Mask, Five Star Stories, The Pale King and multiple of Kafka's writings already solidified themselves in history more than a complete AoT ever will, which has proven to be another run-of-the-mill shonentrash by the end of the day.
Most long-runners eventually drops the ball HARD. It happens and will happen almost 100% of the time with shonen manga by their nature, and AoT was no different.
