The Phantom Troupe aren't fleshed out at all, terrible writing. Gon's consequence for his asspull powerup that he didn't even learn or was taught to by anyone was completely nullified next arc. Literally nobody taught Gon how to transform and it was never implied Bisky did or Gon learned it from somewhere else. Meruem and Komugi had a grand total of 4 or 5(?) interactions and all of a sudden they're intimate friends that die in each other's hands. Such melodrama and forced sympathy for a rushed, hollow, relationship. And Komugi herself is a one-dimensional character. Leorio is one of the main characters and he's dull and not fleshed out in any way, fuck this manga. Netero didn't have anything to him before his rushed backstory soon before the episode he died. Nen is just a lot of explaining without much clever utility. Literally not a single nen battle was as complex as the set-ups and potential it has. This series is very badly written just like the last arc of YYH. Togashi has always been overrated. Don't @ me, won't read it.
