>>154527672I get Homura's had a tragic life, and in the sense of protecting Madoka, her actions are completely logical. If you can't kill the incubators, you trap them in a corner. But with that said, what she's done, intentionally or no, is put herself in the position of a nearly omnipotent, cosmic dictator. She controls the incubators, sure, but she also controls every living thing in the universe, including the whole of mankind. This wouldn't necessarily be bad by itself. Troubling, but not completely bad. However, it has been shown that to Homura, Madoka, along with her happiness and safety, is more important than the existence, let alone the well being, of the human race. This fact, along with her far from stable mental state, makes her the single greatest threat to Humanity and anything else in the Universe that isn't Madoka. At the end of the day, once you look past her tragic backstory and her reasoning for her actions, she's a cosmic dictator with little to no pity, respect, or care for anything, including herself, save for one individual. She's literally an insane demon, to put it bluntly, and I simply can't root for that.
