But cant blame that chapter itself, its basically writer fault.
Dont get me wrong, it was obvious it was happening eventually, besides her being the poster girl of the series and that tons of illustration, it was either her or no romance. Just complaining of the way things developed between those two.
Maybe ishida didnt actually care about touka character besides her being kaneki lover, it makes sense, I remember he said they came as a pair and touka name appeared to him after kaneki. Still feel like he wasted much more time with eto, mutsuki or even fucking kanae than with touka. I get eto being important as fuck to the plot, mutsuki is basically touka nemesis so its ok. But fucking kanae got more characterization in re than touka, even counting this mini arc that was basically her arc, and she officially is (maybe not in re, but her character got sidelined for the 70% of og tokyo ghoul too)considered the main heroine of tokyo ghoul.
Also this friday its the begining of next arc. So lets see if tokyo ghoul finally goes out of the nonstop downfall we had been complaining for a whole year. Many people want touka dying this arc, but actually if she dies this arc it would be a waste of character, if she doesnt magically get tons of focus next arc too, even though I find touka eventually dying not a bad move, I find too early for her to die this next arc.
