>>224892660This is why Tohno is the best protag Nasu has written. At least in my opinion.
Reminds me about all the praise Haruhi got for having Kyon admit he's actually having fun in the movie.
Tohno is basically doing that every day. You never really see him regret anything.
Before everything goes down, he just decides to go to school as he normally would, even if it's his last day alive or as a free man.
He's a boy who truly appreciates his day-to-day life.
He experienced "death" once, so he knows how precious life is.
Ryougi is... pretty bland in comparison, not gonna lie.
Nasu just added a bunch of buddhism-babble and called it a day.
As a human being, even after KnK's events, Ryougi is pretty uninteresting. But I would blame it on Kokuto more than her desu. Her character has to revolve around him, and he's so fucking bland that Nasu pretends it's one of his qualities as a human.
Shirou is pretty interesting, but is pretty misleading and Nasu leads us to one of his most preachy morals.
Did you happen to like Shirou's willpower and idealism in Fate? Did you like his perseverance and the way he made Kiritsugu's and Archer's ideals his own in UBW? Guess what, faggot. Shirou doesn't actually care in HF. And you can tell HF is the one Nasu treats objectively as true, much as he might pretend otherwise. He had to be forced to add another finale for Fate in Realta Nua, and he only ever talks about "muh machure story" and "muh reality" in HF. Even added Zelretch showing up despite previously claiming that if Zelretch shows up, that timeline becomes true.
It's a fucking bait and switch. I don't appreciate it. The Shirou I liked was a lie and deemed wrong by the fucking creator. I don't care for the wannabe puppet in HF. He's so bland in HF that he didn't even get a conclusion in the movies after the Illya scene. He just exists, cooks, and says "Fujinee, grow up". And that's it. That's his fucking conclusion.
So fucking pathetic.
Tohno > Ryougi >>>>> Shirou
