>>234412576>>234412611I don't know about the live action Garugaku or anything about S2, but there was a pretty decent amount of plot and, well, actual substance in S1 considering how short the total runtime was.
Compare Aiura for instance, probably the best 2-minute anime there is. In episode 1 the main character is introduced and briefly encounters the other two main characters.
The rest of the show is slice of life comedy vignettes, during which Ayuko grows a bit of confidence and happiness with her newfound friends. The cast is filled out a bit, but that's mostly it. It's short and sweet and really excellent, but there's very little plot.
Garugaku, as lame as it is, has like twelve characters, all pretty decently realised, has actual story arcs about the whatshername forming a group, the fallout of Youka's old group and them renewing their relationship and the Girls Festival or whatever. I've probably even forgotten some stuff. There was a beach episode, a Christmas episode, Youka had a genuine character arc and distinct relationships with multiple other characters.
Unless Garugaku S2 is totally different in this regard, you can't honestly claim it doesn't have a plot.
