To be fair, as much I hate to generalize everything, I felt that Sasaki has the same problem like most oretuee MCs in that they're mostly reactive, to the point that I honestly think you could just switch Sasaki and Death March's Satou and the story would pretty much unfolds the same.
Though based on Buncololi's track record, the chance of that happening should be small and looking at the KonoRano ranking, Sasaki only really gained traction after vol 2, which means there's more to expect than just (Ma)hobo Shoujo vs Mahou Jiisan later on.
