Still, Utena definitely did suffer for it later though since the mosquito bite incident was what caused the big fight that led to Berserk Baiser and also eventually caused Fallen Medic Magenta. I think she learned a lesson to not push so hard.

They can hold back for when the moment is right. Rosen Garten Saga, for example, has plenty of moments where certain characters could have just gone full rape mode and be done fights but they didn't and that's what made later fights even more entertaining when they did go all out.
