if there were to be a Maho3, it would benefit better from a shorter story format like say, PSG. or maybe Doraemon.
just make a series of short stories not necessarily connected, giving the spotlight to other characters if possible. like 2 stories per ep. or so. if you still need a big bad, maybe just not make it another big demon deity and just someone who wants to stir up shit. maybe a human who wants to wield the power of magic to conquer the world or something.
tldr: just reduce the scope a bit, we had enough big drama with the original series and Maho2.
