According to petmd, pitties range anywhere from 30-90 pounds, and 17 to 19 inches high.
https://www.petmd.com/dog/breeds/c_dg_american_pit_bull_terrierHill's "breed at a glance" page puts pitts at 30-80 pounds, and 18 inches at the withers for females, with males a bit bigger, at 19 inches.
They do, however note that Pitts probably have more muscle per pound than any other breed.
Again, we are not talking about a Shepherd, hound, mastiff, Argentino, corsair, or any other large breed.
I will concede that a Pitt stands a pretty good chance of beating a younger Komodo weighing the same as it does, but the simple fact is that Komodo Dragons can get significantly bigger than that.
