>>6668065The food situation was a little weird to me, but I can understand why they had to implement the $5 food ticket thing. Finding a space to host an event that won't cost you an arm and a leg is a nightmare. I didn't pay for a food ticket, but they were giving all of the leftover food away at the end of the event, and there was a shit ton so I took some home.
Some of the independent vendors seemed lacking to me, and I wished there was a better variety.
I realized too late that there was a section for artists to sell their stuff. There was only one thing on that table that I liked. It was the lolita with a dress fashioned into the shape of a birdcage. Pretty cute, but not $200 cute.
Overall it wasn't bad for a first year run. I loved having the live entertainment. I'm not into Japanese music stuff, but I do love rock so I loved it. The frilly "mosh pit" was the best part.
