Mostly new releases as the secondhand market has been very dry recently.

Nowadays I mostly buy MMM, both new and secondhand, though I recently found an interest in both Atelier Boz and Sheglit. I really love the Isaac Jacket OP but I don't really have anything that would match it in my wardrobe so I'm still on the edge about buying it.

Mostly older releases, though I buy 3-4 new main piece releases per year.

Older releases, I'm really not a fan of neo-Moitié and I haven't been impressed enough to pay full price for any offerings from gothic brands in the last 18 months.

Mostly second hand, but since I started working full time I’m able to splurge on new more often now.

Still Moitie, though I have some Boz and AtPie, both of which I love. I also like BTSSB’s oldschool gothic, sue me. AATP is trash though

Western market - bought a Moitie skirt in comm sales this month. JP market - a big CC haul at the end of last year of mostly AtPie, Boz and Miho Matsuda

I'm looking to buy up a lot of new stuff, mostly because I don't think the older items I'm into are ever going to fit me and newer items have more generous sizing (88cm bust seems difficult for a lot of old Moitie, and my favorite old cuts are 82cm bust OP's)

Tried to get the teacup, as expected it was an impossible task. The wunderwelt site just crashed immediately as it went on sale and I only managed to keep it in my cart for a while and couldn't make it in time to pay because of the crashing. Congrats to those who got it, it's a gorgeous item.

I prefer newer releases because i can't be bother to deal with how dry the market is

I would say almost a year ago for the west market and half a year ago for the jp market. Most of the stuff that really appeals to me tends to be really sought after and too expensive for me.

in november. I've slowed down on buying lolita because i work less hours and have less money. I am also focusing on getting blouses and accessories rather than main pieces and so far i am not feeling anything.

Various rings made out of pewter, sterling silver, stainless steel (good for everyday wear).

Part of them bought at jewelry fairs (best way to find handmade single unique designs or very short series or from more exotic places and various natural gemstones) other from European alt brands Alchemy Gothic (well known UK brand, they come with Svarowski crystals, mostly made out of pewter), Et Nox (Germany, mostly silver and stainless steel). I'm currently looking for vintage pieces in local jewellery shops.

Brand to avoid at all cost: Restyle(PL) - items made from low quality materials for sold for high price

You may also look into "ethnic" style likie Tibetan, Tuareg, Berber, Arab etc if you are looking for a single piece that will add some "stand out" quality to your outfit.

Sometimes you can find interesting rings even in places like biker shops if you are into skull motive. I just found picrel looking for rings.

Most of my jewelry collection is necklaces. I have skinny wrists and fingers, and I fidget a lot, so rings and bracelets tend to go missing.

Here are most of my better pieces. I have pieces from Néant Glass, Macabre Gadgets, Alchemy England, Arcana Obscura, Killstar (not good quality but was on sale), vintage, and Moi-même-Moitié. The MmM necklace and choker were DIY'd from a pair of earrings.

I like to window shop on Etsy too. There's some cool small jewelry shops I can list if someone is interested.

I have a few pieces of Motie jewelry and like most of brand jewelry it's hardly worth the price tag. Especially my bracelet is comically cheap quality but I got it second hand for low bucks many years ago, so not much regret.

If you go for brand you should definitely take a look at Baby and AatP, my pieces from them are by far the best quality of all.

Vivienne Westwood has some pieces that work well with Gothic.

And if you can get a hold of it on the secondhand market I suggest Suppurate System (picrel sorry for the low quality). The items were hand made, that's why there are mixed reviews but all the stuff I saw in rl was beautiful. I forever regret not getting something while they were still active. I've read somewhere that they reopened but with a different name, I really don't know.

I don't have any worn/IRL pics on me but I like Necrosarium a lot. I bought from her when she was new because it reminded me a bit of Supperate System and still have the pieces today. They've held up quite well for how delicate they are, and after another thread reminded me about her I purchased some new pieces, and her craftsmanship on the resin polymer roses has gotten way better. I think she also does custom colors.

Just a one-off review, but I bought this recently and based on the experience, I would absolutely buy from Foxtrot again. Fully lined, no stray threads, heavy fabric with nice drape, good zipper, nice accent bits, overall feels as nice as any of my Boz. The sleeves run a bit short, but that's a common experience for me.

I think it's the amount that the fabric can stretch, I believe. The word that translated to "width" can also mean "stretch", and this skirt says it's made of stretch fabric. That leads me to believe that the waist measurement is based on the corset panel but it can stretch an extra 9.5cm (especially since it's the same for both sizes)

Initially they were meant to help Jews blend in with Russians at the time, but instead they just never changed. Or that was how my very-secular not-Orthodox family explained it to me, so; take with a grain of salt.

I don't know about in other countries' Orthodox communities, but in NYC you'll see them very commonly. This was the only potato picture I could find as an example, I don't want to be weird and try to take a photo of the accessory shop in my neighborhood.

yeah, I was only answering in the context they asked about. in general it just means black or white, so you see shiro gothic for all-white gothic coords. kuro gothic would be kind of redundant because it's associated with black by default. and I don't see kuro/shiro used much in classic, maybe because it focuses more on looking historical rather than... conceptual? not sure how to best phrase that.

In my personal experience of buying four main pieces, they actually run a couple of cm larger than listed. When I've gotten pieces made for my actual measurements, it's noticeably too big. I generally size down 2 or so cm from my measurements, and then it fits perfectly. I have heard from others that it can be a bit mixed, though, and atleast one person I know requested their actual measurements and it was too tight. But maybe they measured themselves wrong.

Has anyone got some pictures of Antique Beast dresses worn (especially interested in these two)?
Pics of any headdresses that aren't the bat ones would be great too. I've ordered a headdress from her before and the fit on me was just really odd. The craftsmanship was lovely though so I'd want to give it another go.

This coord does come off very ita.
The bonnet doesn't match at all since it's a weird greenish blue. The cross collar doesn't fit into the flowery theme either and feels very out of place.
Honestly, the black accessories/blouse just feel super ham fisted. White or a matching purplish blue would work better.

It depends on the piece. Their old "82cm" bust wasn't a particularly tight fit on many of their items, I haven't yet found a Moitié jsk that's tight on that measurement. There's definitely older pieces like the cross front chiffon dress that actually look better on a slightly larger bust and are fine up to around 86-88cm.

Honestly I feel the same way about the JSK. I just wish there was something, any kind of detail on the bodice section, OR that the tailoring of the overall dress was better. As it is I don't feel it's quite worth the pricetag- if it were retailing for 25000-28000¥ then maybe.

But the colorways I like are sold out in size 13 anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter. I could probably fit into a 9 but I'd like just a little more wiggleroom in the waist for my blouse.

I've been buying some BPN, some Miho Matsuda, but mostly older stuff and secondhand. I do like Marble but I feel like their good pieces are fewer between. Other than Moitie accessories the brand I've been buying most new is Sheglit.

I've been eying more abilletage and Na+ though, they can be a bit pricy for what they are and more gothic-punk at times than lolita but they have a lot of great workable tops, especially cutsews. I've been quite impressed with abilletage's quality so far.

I've been a fan of Mana and similar artists since 13yo. I dress quite alt generally but don't have anything EGA or EGL.
I don't know where else to shop for EGA clothes that would look flattering on a man besides Moitie and Boz. I really like Mana's style and wanna wear those more ouji aristocrat coords. Lolita doesn't really interest me, unless it's tea length and very gothic. I really liked Moitie's bat corset skirt but it's not long enough.
The problem is that these brands are extremely inaccessible. Can't find anything on LM either. I dunno what to do.

Yeah lmao I just sent their customer service an email and asked if they had a guide, which I also provided an extra Google translated into Japanese version of. I will post here if they reply with anything! They also posted in English on their Twitter in that poll mentioned up thread, so maybe they have someone there who can speak English and would answer? If customer service doesn't get back to me with help, I might try there or give up and use a shopping service.
