First Class Mail actually always does come with tracking, but the company doesn't want people to know that because formal tracking in addition to FCM is an extra $1.05. However, that added scan barcode that gets put on actually is a tracking number, but since someone doesn't pay for it, the company doesn't want people to know about it. We need that code because it has the route info programmed into it, so we scan it constantly and it tells us where it's going. All tracking numbers do that, so if you look at your receipt where it says PID, then that's actually you're tracking number. The only damn thing you pay for with tracking is for us to tell you it's there. However, be careful, since it's not "official" tracking or whatever, Paypal may not accept it as info if something goes missing.
Delivery Confirmation is always extra; it just makes the person have to sign for the package. Otherwise, unless it's insured, no matter how expensive something may be, if you don't pay that extra dollar then the company default is to just leave the item without a signature.
And you will always have the option of proper tracking,
>>8178686, the only reason they didn't "give" you the option is because we get hardcore secret shopped, so there's a process we have to go through for each parcel, so really a big list of services pops up and we have to select two at random to offer, or we can get in trouble, but tracking is always there, even if its not the one they make us spew out.
All that said, still go with Priority. It's not that much more expensive at all unless your item is heavy and you have a lot more pull if something goes wrong, both with the post and with paypal. When shipping international, send first class then request to add REGISTERED AND INSURED; this is the only way under $65-xhundreds of dollars to send intl. and have it fully tracked and insured. Usually runs $30-45.
