same here, i'm bi and while these velmas are 12/10 wank material, they're shit cosplays. i'm always so disappointed in cosplays that end up erasing who the character actually is.
velma is a nerd. she rather openly doesn't like girly things, dressing up, wearing sexy things. it's something that's literally a main point in every scooby doo revamp i can remember.
in both live action movies she's put in situations where she's dressed provocatively and the entire joke is that she's uncomfortable because it just isn't her. i just watched an episode of the new scooby doo series where she has a bow and that's the girliest thing she's okay with. she has to don a dress in part of the episode and is clearly uncomfortable.
sexy velma cosplays just bother me so much jfc. is it obvious? am i making it obvious that this uncreative shit bothers me?
