If you remember, summer got wolverine claws earlier in the season too. If morty gets some kind of niche power in the next few episodes I'd wager that they're gonna do a cool action scene with them all using their powers at the end of the season. Rick pulling out random cybernetics doesn't make me bat an eye anymore but when other people have powers it does.

He gave jerry a cool power, saved him from his shitty home dimension (when he could have kept season 2 Jerry) and got his face literally tattooed on his ass in the form of an eagle when they where drinking together (he had to inform beth of it which implies it was just the two of them hanging out).

At least by this point in the series, he doesn't hate Jerry anymore.

I like that Jerry is more than just a punching bag now (seriously I hate punching bag characters like meg) but it seems sort of out of nowhere for rick to be cool with him now. Because Jerry hasn't changed much, or proven himself to Rick in any meaningful way. There was a point in season 3 where he stood up to rick but he didn't change his opinion of him then. what's up with that?

Reread >>133308439. The S6 premiere directly showed us that even Jerry's come out of the divorce arc a slightly more competent and self-actualized guy. The series seems to slowwwly be allowing Rick to antagonize Jerry less and less.
