>>142662471It really wasn't, it was highly middling and constantly fumbled what could have been interesting story arcs by either rushing them or not giving them attention they should have gotten. Jinx's moving from villain to hero should have been an entire mini arc of its own but it's basically done in one episode, maybe two if you consider the Stone episode as setting it up. Too much time wasted on episodes that contributed nothing to the plot of each season which would be fine but those episodes tended to be weak. It was also really bad about balancing the comedy and seriousness so it always came as being jerked from one to the other as one episode is wacky silly anime hijinks and the next everything is grim and serious.
And it's especially notable compared to Justice League/JLU which it was airing contemporaneously with or even something like The Batman which wound up finding its legs eventually.

Barr openly complained about how butchered the Outsiders characters were when Young Justice adapted them, how DC basically didn't talk to him at all about it, and he may not have even initially been credited for the characters he created. The response from YJ fans was to basically scream "SHUT UP OLD MAN" and accuse him of being an entitled crybaby who was mad DC and the YJ team wasn't kissing his ass.
