But that makes this comic even more baffling. Did Ian or somebody just decide to explicitly show what happened to the Topaz and take it off the table for now? Did Sega tell them to show what happened to it? Did IDW go "oh shit we need a new super-duper comic" so made this and made up something about it being Sonic's 900th adventure to make it more special? Even when putting the Topaz back, we learned nothing new about it.
What was the point of this? Why does comic exist?
