Marco experiences 15 years away from home, essentially growing up and living a completely different life independent of his friends and family, then is whisked back to his home realizing only 10 minutes passed for them. He returns home, with the mind of an adult and with little memory of his old life, and it all hits him when he says he can't remember his password. Marco can't fit into his old life but looks exactly the same way everyone else remembers him. It's played for laughs with the tummy squish but it doesn't change the fact that Marco is a 30 year old man in the body of a 15 year old boy.
Of course, this was never really explored by Nefcy afterwards but it was sad at the time.
