>>116363612It didn't feel like a real plot, it felt like they had an idea for "disease that makes bad jokes" and developed a plot to justify that idea.
While the Blab as a concept isn't all that bad as far as Ballmastrz fare goes, it got way too much screentime. Bad jokes don't stop being bad jokes just because you're openly acknowledging that they're bad, and listening to the Blab during so much of the episode was just unpleasant.
The pacing felt accelerated relative to a normal episode. Characters were talking almost one right after another and rushing through plot points, causing the story as a whole to feel rushed. Flypp using his monologue gimmick to deliver rapid-fire exposition was neat, but then it felt like all the other characters were doing that as well during most of the rest of the episode.
A lot of the jokes themselves just fell flat for me, I think mostly due to the delivery. The way Gaz said "I do like pills!" sounded like a line she'd say in a gag openly making fun of the way characters talk in bottom-of-the-barrel family sitcoms, but it was just an unironic regular dialogue line.
I've seen a few Ballmastrz episodes before that I didn't enjoy all that much, but this was the first one so far that I disliked. Like, I'd change the channel if it came on again.
