Each episode starts out okay,
but the resolutions are pretty unsatisfactory.
Episode 3 was the most egregious example of this, and everything else is okay I guess. but eh...
I went on an autistic rant about this in some other thread how some episodes miss the mark thematically, but even world building(?) plot wise there are some things I don't get.
Like the episode where the fusing is introduced.
why... wasn't it mentioned before? why not use it like the other hundreds of times the crew was in danger? what about the bird monster was so special from the other monsters to warrant fusing?
And the Moss episode.
It justifies the mosses dindu nothin because it was just trying to bloom in that specific area. But then why does it attack living things? and incapacitates them? That doesn't really help the moss reach its goal.
Which is fine, I guess (it's not that important)
but I thought it would focus more on how Steven keeps stopping the crew from going into the water, and how this would keep on irritating the doughnut guy.
This does happen, but it lasts less than minute.
And ultimately Doughnut dude getting more and more irritated by Steven trying to stop the crew would have been a more fun/interesting build up to the climax than driving the moss to the cliff (which takes the majority of the ending time).
