The reason that the Pronoun Patrol was so upset when the Hogwarts game first dropped is because she had already been systematically needling them for months.
I do not really think that Rowling actually cares at all one way or the other about transgender issues or even feminism in general; she's just wants attention and people talking about her, which is precisely what she got through her many hours online spent shamelessly attention whoring.
