Sure, the Raimi movies are loaded with camp (that has aged poorly or amazingly, depending on who you ask), but it's got the most heart out of all the movies. Characters have legitimate development arcs, there's an engaging enough plot, and the action scenes hold up pretty well.
That being said, I'm not super happy with EITHER actor's performances. Tobey is a good Peter, but a terrible Spider-Man, he hardly ever exudes the confidence and swagger that Spidey should have. Garfield does way better in that regard, but is a less convincing Peter Parker. That, and the muddled plots of the ASM movies, especially ASM2, don't do him any favors. I wouldn't have minded seeing what he could do under a better script.
J.K. Simmons as JJJ still remains the greatest casting to ever exist in a cape movie.
To me, the movies rank as:
SM2 > SM > ASM > SM3 > ASM2
