It's not related so much in this metal men AU, this is for other sentiens races
>There are not only gems as sentient minerals
There are Rocks, Metals and Alien Minerals and also Glasses
>Ancient Great Minerals
The real creators of the gems. Born from cosmic storms that got shaped by gas and dust into Minerals. They made the seed to the creation of the sentient life. In the SU's universe there is a convergent sapien evolution
>Starite
Ancient minerals. They were created by the core of stars, but these stars are now extinct.
There are really few of them, but they outlive all the other gems. Their life spam is second only to the Great Minerals like WD and Platinium
>Crunchrock
Made by an alien mineral that doesn't exist on earth and if there is the gems already used it for creating them. They got the peculiar reactive adaptation to any attack that harms them, but they need 24 h to reform with an immunity to what poofed them first, the more they gets the stronger they get
>Beetle Gem/Geode
Convergent evolution between the native geodes of an alien planet and Earth's beetles. Their hairs and weapons(horns) are pointy crystals
>Geraldine
The almost permafusion of two Pyroelectrical glasses: Serpent Glass (alien glass) and Prehnite. Their corruption forms the Electric Skull.
>Concrete
The fusion of 3 Mineraloid Materials: Mortar, Grave and Lime. Body is tough but her lightweight makes her low-powered, doesn't understand alien languages but can transcribe it
They're the sapiens equivalents of the Peebles, but are more similiar to gems than peebles
>Bismuths, Leads, Tins
There are Metals that were made since ancient times, but for their peculiar nature they were made with a body creation process that takes all the essence that matters in the wild metal by not solidifying it, but by making it a light construct
There are only 3 metals that share this creation process, Bismuths, Tins and Leads that are more close with eachothers than with any other metals
