This show sucks, it just sucks. I’ve watched every episode so far, and I will continue to watch every episode after because I have no life, but there is just no excitement out of it.
The characters suck. Eda and King are kinda fun, but Luz is just lame. Doesn’t help that she’s mostly separated from them so she can hang out with her lame as friends, all of whom are boring as fuck. That includes Amity. I thought I would like her when I saw the Tsundere in the intro, but she’s probably the most boring of this character type I’ve ever seen. Her barf green hair doesn’t help. Probably the most overrated /co/ waifu in a long time too. And don’t even get me started on Willow and Gus.
The setting sucks. For a world where anything can happen, nothing interesting ever seems to happen. Just hanging around school and getting into drama with the popular kids. That’s the best they got? Oh, but sometimes they levitate things, so it’s wacky.
The only theoretical saving grace is the lore, but why should I care if I don’t care about the characters. Luz can leave whenever she wants, so there isn’t much at stake for her. Often times, these lore shows would have some focal goal or mystery to solve, but Owl House has nothing. It’s just Luz hanging out and learning magic. For what purpose? Sure, Eda has her sister, but they seem to be getting along just fine, so nothing interesting there.
This show is just fucking boring. I’d drop it if I valued my time
