>>117255305>Surely, you can see why agenda may get in the way of objective journalism Yeah, but most progressives in the animation industry seem to be in support of all new cartoons so long as the team behind it is staffed with cool people instead of edgy jerks actively trying to piss people off with harmful "jokes" or stereotypes, so any shows not under that category that they don't like or care for are usually outright ignored (Apple & Onion, Big City Greens, Victor and Valentino, etc.).
That's why the most popular modern cartoons come from healthy production crews and hit those same basic criteria that make a show "worth watching." If those criteria aren't met (or if the show really isn't all that good), most people don't bother mentioning it at all. I personally find that rejection of episodic comedies to be more annoying than agenda-pushing, the latter of which usually being for the greater good anyway.
