I'd read and re-read only to make no progress. It's like readin about the correct form for liftin weights but without actually workin out.
I can draw way faster than I used to cause now my method's consistent. I usually start with a stick figure, then a rectangular box for a body, and then the legs, head, then the arms last. Even for cartoons, it makes determinin the precise angle I want for a head tilt and so on way easier. Right now I'm doin studies from episodes animated by TMS. From there, I might start to shift into my own way a drawin the characters, which will happen naturally.
