I misread your argument about sex and race, I agree with you.
Women and men are more different to eachother than they are to different races and the same sex. This actually bolsters my point. It's always about magnitudes. Race equality would be more easily achieved than sex equality, this I believe to be true. People are less willing to give up the specter of sex than the specter of race, and following this school of thought, society must iterate on the ideas that spring from sex; that being gender, to best fit its members wants.
I don't even necessarily agree that this is what should be done, but it is ENTIRELY logically consistent, and that's all I want to put out.

I don't even strongly believe such a thing is possible anyway. But you cannot reasonably argue that in a neurological sense it is equally plausible that there would be sex-based brain chemistry error as there would be species-based brain chemistry error.
