>>142661746>>142661763>>142661792Thanks a lot anon, I appreciate it. It makes me happy to see actual commentary on her, especially since no one ever really feels the need to talk about her these days. I would've loved more of an ongoing focus for her throughout a season, but I can understand the concern over too much space theming. At least there were some nice episodes for her mixed in, and good stuff with her and Robin in the finale movie too.
I wish we could have more characters like '03 Starfire today. I've pretty much given up on my hopes of ever enjoying a modern female character like her. I think the Mario movie getting weird with Peach despite Nintendo's involvement finally cemented to me, if everything else hadn't, that these cutesy personalities are just seen as a risk.
Reading this, Sam's responses showing they enjoy her sweet side while still being able to call her "super strong" and not devolve into being obnoxiously apologetic about having to avoid her warrior side (due to the backstory issue) is certainly a time capsule. This isn't how creatives think today. The second BW said "her warrior side was toned back" it'd have instinctively caused apologizing about how she wasn't good enough and they should've handled things differently.
