Take my advice or not, cause from the outside shit doesn't seem as bad as y'all make it, but I've said it once and I'll say it again:
The reason shit stays toxic is cause people have too much attachment in this community.
The key to a healthy community, and to rejuvenating this one, starts with surgically removing, or in certain cases like artists, reprimanding toxic people instead of simply playing on the sidelines or parasitically attaching oneself to the ass of whoever has the most clout.
And it's not just about fostering a friendly atmosphere towards artists. It helps to build up newbies with resources and critique and support oldies, even if they're paywalling content.
The long and short of it is people just need to be more proactive. Being part of a community means acting as a part of it.
