>>6583278Neither RNGCultist nor I am the OP, and we've both expressed similar sentiments. As RNGCultist said, we continued this thread for a hypothetical magical realm game, and to keep it off of /tg/.
Had this been on /tg/, I wouldn't have contributed.
>>6583229It's endlessly fascinating how different one person's sexuality can be from the next.
>>6583263Right here is why I brought up the idea in the first place: I never considered whether or not it would need to be modified for culture.
Like the original Taint rules, I was approaching it from an objective Taint/alignment place. Depending on the setting, orcs and bugbears are monsters though (I tend to try and make them distinct cultures and playable).
Taint (in my mind) was supposed to replace alignment, so it could be as harsh or as lenient at the DM wants. Heroes of Horror had a short discussion of a variant where killing sapient beings was act that accrued Taint, which would make for a very different game than traditional D&D.
I should take a look at Jade Regent and Testament. I haven't come across them before.

I suppose I'll need to take a look at Fantasy Craft as well.
