Can someone redpill me on thsi fetish? I've seen pics of girls with just fuses waiting to explode, but the I've also seen others that apparently set off the explosions, and then others that inflate/grow the closer they are to exploding.
Is this like the Omnipotence thread that actually encompases a bunch of fetishes under one single banner?

I think you're probably right, and it's encompassing a bunch of things. PERSONALLY FOR ME, it's allll about those fuses/timers/oh-god-she's-gonna-blow, inflation doesn't really factor into it for me - though I'm not against some BE/AE getting involved for flair.

The sexiest, imo, is the fuse - the sheer visual flair it gets towards selling the "this gal is a BOMB" fetish is so, so good, esp if she's reacting either worriedly or excitedly to it.

Part of it is definitely the danger aspect. The “Oh no! This thing’s gonna blow!” Where the thing in question is a girl’s massive ass. And for whatever reason, the implicit or explicit knowledge that when said bomb ass goes off she and everything near her won’t be around afterwards appeals to me. Something about the finality of an explosive orgasm I guess.

...But I also don’t like the “And now she’s dead forever.” Aspect that comes afterwards so I choose to ignore that part or think of it as a disposable android chassis with transferable consciousness or similar.

Except then that interferes with the implication of finality so usually I just choose not to think about it altogether.

Maybe not immediately? If they're still in one piece after the smoke clears then it doesn't feel like they actually exploded, which is important for me in a weird way.
Like, have them reappear or reform shortly after, and that's fine. Or like I do in my own autistic fantasies, and have them be robots that are essentially remotely piloted; that way, the mind stays intact but the body is destroyed, and they can 'respawn' at leisure - having my exploding cake and eating it.

For me personally, I imagine the situation is almost exactly like Kenny from South Park, except almost everyone knows the bombgirl is going to be fine eventually so they usually don't react too much when she does explode. Also, the explosion itself is kind of fun to be caught in, giving a rush similar to a roller-coaster ride, so people often trigger an explosion out of sheer boredom.
