>>7780351>what sort of hobbies are you into?I listen to, study, write, and play music. both of my parents are musicians (one plays professionally), so I got an early start. I'm competent at piano, (bass) guitar, upright bass, and drums. I'm currently learning harmonica and violin, and can sing but not remarkably well. A "jack of all trades, master of none" kind of deal. My current favorite musicians are probably Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, The Microphones/Mount Eerie, Xiu Xiu, and Kate Bush (her more conceptually than in execution; Hounds of Love kicks ass, though). One of my goals for 2018 is to finally get into jazz (literally indefensible that I haven't already).
Other than that, I draw and am relatively knowledgeable in various social sciences for a young layman. I'm currently having a phase with modern Iranian history, to give an idea.
I'm also trying to read more fiction, get into film, and I hope to soon learn textile arts, outdoorsy shit, and to put my above-average language acquisition skills to good use. I was conversational in German for like a year, but forgot most of it because I got too confident and stopped studying.
That's pretty much everything I do and am interested in, plus shitposting.
>>7780374>Try something along the lines of 'If I message you first, it is because I want to get to know you better over [insert your preferred first date here]'Sorry for the confusion. On OkCupid, there's a section you can fill out at the end of the profile entitled, "You Should Message Me If".
It's too bad about your mediocre luck on Bumble so far. Hopefully tomorrow's date goes better!
I've gotten a lot of interest, but haven't reciprocated much of it yet. I'm out here looking, though. Not to rub salt in your wounds.
>>7780412That's really fucked up. I promise most of us love and appreciate our partners and want to support and uplift them however we can.
