Persia has been historically significant and relevant in several eras throughout history, making many notable contributions to the advancement of humanity. That pitiful spit of desert known as the Arabian Peninsula hasn't been an interesting read in any history book up until the Muslim conquests, when you lizard-eating monkeys finally figured out that by ceasing tribal shitflinging autism you can actually achieve something.
