Which doesn't make it impossible to live (North Koreans have a similar problem), but it's definitely something you want to avoid as it does bring about health problems.

i am not sure if giving them automatic weapons would be a good idea
they are too difficult to mantain
there is also the issue of running out of ammo; it would be very hard to manufacture modern cartridges with technology of the time (add to this the fact that supplies were carried by mules, and untrained troops spraying their guns)
might be better to give them muskets and cannons

Not a meme, but where the fuck are people getting this idea that the Aztec Empire was on a decline and suffering from unsustainable agriculture before the Spanish show up come from?

The Empire was litterally at it's apex and still expanding, the Valley of Mexico wasn't even at it's carrying capacity yet, and Chinampas are absurdly sustainable form of agriculture?

Is it just a cope to justify the Spanish Conquest? Are people mixing them up with the Maya with the Classical Maya Collapse (which is a bit of a misleading meme itself even)?
