Literally hundreds of countries have risen and fallen since the dawn of history, some that also were on top of the world at some points
I'm not saying the USA will collapse in a mere 50 years, just that there is absolutely no doubt it will one day, however long that takes (and so will France and everyone else). There can be some many unforeseen reasons for a nation to disappear. The world we live in has already so little in common with the one people lived in a century ago, let alone a millenia.
And I'm also not trying to imply that this is a reason for not taking action or being nihilistic. It's just that time has proven again and again that nations fall, period. And as powerful as America is, you are all still humans like the rest of us
