Well, I find this to be quite the opposite. In fact, I'm rather sure the differences between Yemenis and Qataris is far greater than the differences between different types of Algerians or even different types of Meghribis (language aside)
But then again, this is just my opinion.

Maltese has Arabic grammar and lots of loan words, and so does Algerian dialect. Sure it's not to the exact extent, but it's comparable. But I mentioned it not because I want Algerian dialect to be considered a language, but to show how different the cultures are and to shed some light on why the cultures are so different and how it reflects on language. If you don't remember, Arabia is at the next continent and you're separated from it by two or three other cultures
