The main concern is I don't think the US will maintain capability as an opponent to China. China went from famine tier to a decently developed country since the last time we fought them, they now own half the world's industry which is a HUGE disadvantage, and most importantly they don't condemn their own advancement and imperialism. All these factors, combined with ethnic and social breakdowns stateside are going to lead us on a shit path as China gets stronger.

That wouldn't make any sense given the context of the conflict, we were never at war with Afghanistan itself, we were fighting against insurgents. Such activity would not only make us an international pariah, it would defeat the entire purpose of the war.

US's KDR rate hs been going up since WW2 and our KDR tends to go up the longer the war goes on for, so in a likely conflict with China, if history is any testament, if we burned say 5 million soldiers a year, they'd lose somewhere between 100 to 200 million the first few years and then the rate would go up. If America lost 30 million men to a war with china, we'd probably kill off close to a billion of them.

And I'm talking direct measurable casualties against other combatants. If we decide to go Holodomor on them, then the casualty rates would be considerably higher.

The Imperial Japanese were some of the most savage bloodthirsty soldiers this world has seen and they got two A bombs to the face 4 years after their initial attack on top of having a fuckton of Japan itself bombed into oblivion in nonstop air raids.
