A great rifle will always shoot great, with good or bad glass. You can upgrade your glass over time; you cannot upgrade your rifle's accuracy. Get the good rifle, even if you have to put a $100 Holosun optic on it. Then over time, once you have enjoyed it, shot it and learned it, upgrade to high end glass. A luxury high end rifle isn't in the same category as a SHTF beater.
