>NO HAWKEYE, NO!!!>IT'S TIME US BANK. THE SKIES NEED ME.For real though, I'm at school right now. I'm going to bring my Saitek X52 back when I go home this weekend. My next purchase is going to be rudder pedals (never got around to them), then TrackIR.
Is BoS worth it? I'm pretty skeptical because of what happened to Cliffs of Dover. It's also an Alpha, which makes me uneasy.
1946 is so good. I've got around 500 hours on it, and that's just what steam records, not even the billions of hours I had back when it was just IL2 Forgotten Battles, or Ace Expansion Pack.
>>23038677>>23038718TrackIR is doing a lot, but honestly I think it's going to be games like Elite Dangerous, Star Citizen, and a few others that get people to buy Joysticks. I think that's the main thing keeping people away. It's expensive to get into the genre. You've got to lay out ~$50-60 for a new title (sometimes just one aircraft for the DCS titles), then another $60 at least for a decent joystick or HOTAS setup. Then you've got your Pedals and TrackIR (Or oculus, if that's up your alley), adding another $200 or so, and at that point, why not just buy a damn cockpit-seat thing.
I just applied to a few jobs, and I've got a new savings plan set up, with timelines and shit, if I get that job.
