>>48616829The problem is the damn ejection of cases, and clearing misfires/duds.
I do like that the spent ammo drops into a catch bag and not flung into your friend's face firing next to you.
The reason they put rims on the bullets at first so the idiots won't load them backwards and shoot themselves in the head.
The next level is a case that is consumed with the firing and a clearing plunger cycle, just in case it's a dud or debris in there.
How about a rotating zig zag chamber that mates with the barrel. Like 3 of them. 1 loads, rotates, fires, the it rotates to be swept out.
This also gives the chamber time to cool down and not cook off your next round loaded or go full auto run by accident.
Instead of a just a firing pin, it's electrically insulated inside the bolt and fires the case-like-caseless ammo electrically?
It you have regular cased ammo, it still smashes the primer there anyway.
The circuit would be still operated by a hammer striking the firing pin, so it can be just dialed up to full auto and scare the ATF. (would be simpler to put the coat hanger trick in the mechanism anyway).
Batteries and caps are charged by solar panel on stock or a crank handle in the dark by a small dynamo like for emergency lights/radios.
Pic is just a similar idea without ejection.
