Yeah an all steel one would be mint and they should be sub $200, they would sell really good at that price. Don't a lot of video games use this model of red dot? They could crush sales coasting on that. A shame, I have an AR that would look great with one of these.

Yep, lots of C-Mores in games along with 2 or 3 times the amount of Ultradot PanAVs (or modeled off an airsoft clone of one). I think it's getting rarer these days though sadly. You see a lot more not-an-EOTech dots these days IIRC.

Related, Ultradot will be getting my money just off the fact that I played so much COD 4 I kinda want one just to dick around with on various guns. Sometimes I do wonder what kind of recoil it can actually withstand though.

Yeah. Makes sense though because its a very niche, unpopular optic. None of the big retailers could sell enough to undercut CMORE.

The only place I can imagine them going for cheaper is Tac Swap. I'd stay away from Ebay though because there are very convincing chink copies of everything on there.

Very fragile and extremely poor battery life compared to more modern stuff. Glass clarity is great on open emitter sights and these ones are purpose-built for close-range competition work but the exposed emitter is also a massive potential failure point, and more modern open emitter optics (think trijicon pistol sights, some holosuns) do a bit more to shield the emitter though the issue is still there.

The aesthetic (particularly of the C-more and the Elbit Falcon, the ultradot is in my mind permanently associated with cheap airshit unfortunately) is untouchable but it's hard to argue for it as a practical choice rather than one driven by SOVL

It's a great optic to put on a rifle and take a picture, and I think outside of super-niche comp guys that's the main market.

I love how you’re interjecting into my stuff into my post I didn’t imply or say, it’s been used for 10 years, taken to the range, left on, then turned off and taken home, it’s been dropped on an AK twice, knocked pretty good when an SL8 fell off the bench, it’s not as weak as you say and it has surprisingly good battery life if you don’t leave it on 24/7.

It's not 1995 anymore, YouTube is full of $100 optics made by chinese children taking more hits than that in an afternoon without losing zero.

A C-more costs almost as much as a used Aimpoint PRO or EOTech 512, both of which are orders of magnitude more robust.
Again, there is literally nothing wrong with buying an optic for its aesthetic, and the Railway is one of the coolest-looking optics ever made. "I just like it" is literally the best reason to own something.
