People here are mentioning Aquarion and Demonbane both of which are worthy competitors, but I think that the Granzeboma (The Anti-Spiral Mech) that appeared in show itself, was in fact more powerful than the TTGL.
It not only showed combat capabilities that are on average surpassing the Gurren Lagann (both in the combined and the non-combined form), but it also seems to be much more durable.
Both in the series and in the movie, Simon had to go for a direct impact with the cockpit, because that was the only way he could truly destroy it.

It basically is more powerful as it kept one-upping TTGL, this fact is very overlooked by power level fags that always bring up TTGL. if Simon had not went all in for a direct attack to the anti-spiral guy inside, he and all of humanity would have lost due to being overwhelmed by Granzomboney's power.

The Gurren Lagann was practically disarmed by the Granzeboma. In the show, Simon inflicted the final blow with the Lagann alone, while in the movie he had to face the Anti-Spiral in a direct combat.
The Lagann (and other Gunmen Mechs) could potentially unlock the Spiral potential within their pilots, BUT they were practically useless (against greater threats) without a powerful spiral warrior.
Yes, Simon was a more power spiral warrior than the Anti-Spiral, but his final maneuver was a desperate act.
