I think the part damage WAS the interation on the Nexus used parts situation. Which in itself was just a general nerf on the player economy since it was very easy to just buy whatever you wanted by selling old parts by the 20% mark in most AC games. I think the DXM guys kept the part damage atleast.

Learn your weapon cooldown times and favoured approach, start building to counter you. you want auto sight enabled. it works a little different in fa than it does in 4, they removed the left stick click to get a full lock on in favor of making it just lock on when you look at targets.

once your targeting reticle turns red, let go of right stick and the auto sight will take over and the game will aim for you to some extent.

you want auto boost OFF and auto purge OFF too. auto boost just wastes energy, and auto purge will fuck you over in multiplayer.

heavily suggest control type regular-b - it's the only one where quick boost is on pressure sensitive triggers and you can still aim and move at the same time. quick boost and normal boost NEED TO BE BOUND TO PRESSURE SENSITIVE TRIGGERS. the more you pull on your trigger the more boost you get, and it's impossible to second stage without pressure sensitivity

also make sure you know how to quick turn: turn the camera and quick boost but DO NOT touch the movement stick. you will turn 70-180 degrees depending on boosters and the legs you have equipped.

Funny thing I just noticed recently. While Iguazu's Balam build is based on Trainer AC, his Mind Gamma build and combat AI are copy of Mind Beta/Kate. They both shoot charged KRSVas while hiding behind shield, the only difference is Iguazu switching dagger for SMG. Iguazu just couldn't be bothered to come up with his own build period.

There's one more difference, he also has his old shield that's focused on being held, instead of the all-rounder one Mind Beta has. That plus Ludlow enable him to do the exact same bitch-ass playstyle he was using with Head Bringer, you got your big damage firing stance cannon and you got your homing chip damage shoulder filler.
And I haven't noticed much of a change in his behaviour between Iguazu and Minduazu either. He's a bitch before and he's a bitch after, it's an efficient and practical playstyle that's unfun to play and unfun to play against.

Nah both bazookas and and grenade weapons only deal explosive damage in the game, they are basically the same category of weapon. The ammunition illustration looks like a shaped charge though, and you'd think a bazooka would fire rocket propelled shaped charge.

bazooka in gaming terms usually refers to generic rocket launcher, not to a shaped charge armor-piercing weapon, and how they act differently from grenades differs by game.
grenade launchers come in all different flavours and shapes, but rocket launcher is usually codified- slow but straight-moving projectile and explodes on contact. grenade launchers can change one or more aspects of that- they can arc, they can have any combination of airburst, proxy, timed and delayed fuse, they can have more focus on blast damage over direct hits, etc.
ac6 does them a bit differently, both shoot straight and both explode on contact, but they are still well differentiated. if anything, the long-range grenade launchers are closer to "dumb" classic videogame rocket launchers, while bazookas are their own thing with proxy detonation, and short-range grenade launchers' closest equivalent is probably splatoon's blasters. none of them actually do shaped charges.

if i was making a set of non-homing explodey weapons for an ac-like game, i'd do and classify them like this:
bazooka- the actual shaped charge rocket launcher, a precision weapon that deals huge damage on direct hit, but has little to no blast radius. pile bunker on a stick. add some blurb about it being designed to take down large heavily armored targets and considered impractical for anti-ac combat.
rocket launcher- the big grenade launchers we have now, big explosion if you hit a surface. best used from above.
grenade launcher- dizzy and iridium with their short-range airburst that allows you to stay grounded within usual engagement range and still hit them with explosions.
flak cannon- current bazookas, small blast with proximity fuze.
guided rocket- no homing, flies towards target's predicted xy position like any other weapon but slightly above,then drops down to either trigger aoe or hit them on the head. guranteed explosion at any range at cost of more time to react.
line charge- jvln beta, except unguided.

Funnily enough the charged shot of the pulse missile launcher is the closest thing to how a HEAT round would behave ballistically in AC6. Direct fire and super long range without losing any power - because it's a missile (it's the direct fire weapon with the longest range in the game I'm fairly certain). It still has an AoE and deals energy damage, of course.

Give bazooka explosions a smaller and weaker explosive AOE effect while making them spawn a "bullet" that does high kinetic damage and flies like 10-20 meters forward(if it doesn't get stopped by hitting a heavily armor enemy) before disappearing to represent the explosively formed penetrator. Kind of like a charged linear rifle shot with very short range coming out of a small missile explosion.
High explosive fragmentation from weapons such as grenade launchers could be conveyed visually by something like having a one or two dozen invisible lines coming out of the explosion in different directions to detect objects around it and spawning impact particle effects where the lines meet the surface of nearby objects(sparks for metal objects, dust for dirt, snow, and concrete, etc.).

Asfaik "DOVE" was the designation given to the controller itself in japanese. A dove is a complacant bird which symbolizes peace.
It is the opposite of a raven, who is Individualistic and disorderly. Core-theory seems to acknowledge that the will of a human is afterall what is the driving force that dictates fate.

I think the overarching, thematic antagonist of Armored Core is systemization. Corporations, AIs and automation are overcome by the protagonist of individiualism. I think ACs settings are so inhumane, both in scale and organization, to serve as an obstacle for the individual to overcome. In the end it is the little meat-bag inside the cockpit making a decision, who defeats the perfectly orchastrated plans of the powers that be. I think if the stories presented in these games have a lesson, then it's to always believe in the power of the individual.

Here's some inept and compressed to hell test mode gameplay to prove it works
No issues with crashes obstructing progress yet, at least not in any of the almost 80 order missions I did before I got sick of them
As for Verdict Day, xenia supposedly crashes like hell in story missions but the RPCS3 setup in OP seems to run out of the box
If you want netplay for either you're shit out of luck, I don't know how to set it up

Incidentally, the ACV guide link in OP works just fine on my end and gives the exact same instructions

yeah mirage transports, basiically you do the heavyest tank, with the longest fcs, two back grenade launchers and to snipers
outside of that snipers are still pretty good, change a bit for LR tho but some are still an alright choice

Maybe you're using it against shell-resistant enemies.
Could be a case of mandela effect where people play silent line and retroactively think the whole category is OP, when the 800 mg in the sequel outperforms all others. Divide attack power by reload time and you get the damage per frame(multiply by 60 to get an actual DPS stat)

Modding isn't as easy as it seems and it heavily depends on the engine. It also requires a lot of autism. Even with TES games it's not that easy to mod what you want despite all the tools being there. If nobody added missions yet it's that nobody figured out how to.

I interpret it as like how one singular brain cell isn't sapient on its own, but as more and more coalesce a collective, intelligence appears. However, each "neuron" in this case is actually an ephemeral wave in a field of energy, a wave in a metaphorical "liquid" that can fill any sized container. My whole interpretation falls apart when you think about the idea of burning the coral, however my understanding of physics is from 12th grade from 11 years ago so I have no idea how to concept burning pure energy.

Aside from that, I'd imagine it would be extremely painful to drink the red goo without augmentations as you are essentially permanently injecting electricity into all your nerves.

Closer, but still a bit off. Coral is a microscopic lifeform. They gather in "waves" and can move freely around this way, seeking to gather to further propagate their species. Some of them can even become sentient via mutations like Ayre.

Yes, that's actually an excellent comparison. The only real difference being Coral doesn't seem to live inside living beings like Midis do and Coral also has applications as a data conduit, mutagenic animal feed, and recreational drug. Plus Coral can attain human level sentience and intelligence via mutations, not sure midichlorians are capable of anything like that. Mid A tier to top A tier - Can play duels on optimized maps very well, can do 2v2 comfortably, 3v3 and 4v4 will drop frames noticeably
Low S tier - Same as above, but 3v3 and 4v4 drop much less

the versions of rpcs3 included in the downloads have fixes and shit to make them work right. just use the ones from the guides and make separate folders for them. a standard rpcs3 install won't work. there usually aren't updates for VD but every once in a while the guy making modded regulations for FA posts an updated one. the only place to get those is the discord unless someone wants to ask that guy to host them elsewhere.

the only exceptions to this are V and VD, because those two games are modded in ways that change the base game files to make them work on RPCS3. even then, there should not be more updates to that after the first time you download it unless something changes.

anyone can beat any of the ac games with the starter. it isn't a challenge or an achievement once the basic mechanics of the game are understood, and that's an issue in the design of the series that likely can't be fixed without walling a significant number of casual players out of ever finishing the game. that's fine, it doesn't need to be as hard as souls or whatever, but to pretend that you're gaining anything from it is a bit silly. it's purely masturbatory after the first full clear because at that point you hopefully understand that you can just hit the lock on button and watch the game play itself.

in pvp your mastery of the mechanics isn't the only factor and your opponent isn't following a set (usually very easy) pattern during the fight. there's an actual reason to improve and change your build because your opponent can actually adapt to your playstyle.

if you just want to mindlessly mash buttons though without any real improvement maybe go play dynasty warriors or something. sounds more your speed.

More rounds spent means lower score, micro missiles literally vomit missiles. The same thing would happen if you were using an MG and spraying shitloads of bullets everywhere vs a hard hitting single fire rifle. Yes, by this token, a blade will mean higher S rank chance but prioritizing a blade will mean taking more damage which also lowers your score.

Well if micro missiles didn't cost more they'd just be the best missiles no matter what. It's bad enough that they're so effective every other missile in gen 3.5 really isn't worth using, especially in LR where micro missiles are pulverizer deleters.

Given how few it spat out I'm inclined to think otherwise. As efficient as I'm sure the thing is, I find it hard to believe those things are cheap to produce and AC doesn't appear to be a universe where you can just synthesize any material you need, given how the entire plot of Nexus for the most part revolves around some unnamed mysterious "new resource" which by the way was really really bad writing. So technically 10, 8 if we don't count portable. Also worth nothing that during Nexus Evangel used both the MAGORAGA and KINNARA but dropped them both going into Last Raven like a doofus. There's really no excuse for pulverizers not knowing how to handle micro missiles, especially because the player uses them typically. Just bad design really.

That was Silent Line. The artificial intelligence office was a front for IBIS who was directing humanity to try to liberate the second layered, as per its protocol, much like how in AC3 DOVE/The Controller started "malfunctioning" on purpose to compel humanity to destroy it and return to the now livable surface.

Go play gen 4, pernaflight heavyweights with sniper rifles are absurdly good in that gen. Shit man you can even get by with sniper heavies in other old games. If you hate sniper rifles too though, yeah you're fucked. Also if you only wanna play AC6, you're pretty fucked anyway since most rifles are shit here. Could probably make 2x RANSETSU RF work well enough on a heavy but it definitely won't be meta. Certainly good enough for PvE though.

I wouldn't trust that door. Model ports into other games using this engine have shown that while most of it is human scale matching a PC souls character. Some things are super weird like shoulder high apartment railings where you cannot even stand on the balcony without clipping through the door. Of course it could be that the apartment is designed to not allow standing on the balcony in some sadistic brutalism.

The Loader 4 is 10m in the game anyway. Scale only matters at AC's scale, details at human's scale are so low-poly with low-detail texture that they couldn't be accurate even if they try. You literally can count the vertices on the wheels of the cars on Rubicon for example.
