All I remember Sleepless in Ponyville for is Luna being able to dreamwalk ... and also talking like Zecora.
So DhxMedia/TopDrawn only had 13 episodes, maybe 17 episodes if we count EQG as 4 normal episodes because that shit did not cost more than usual to make.
So they tried to kinda shove more elements in it, not because lower episodes = more budget, but because they were already setting up to making the show more adventure-like , S4 is full of adventure episodes and eccentric episodes like Power Ponies.
The problem is that they're handled like shit compared to every other adventure show.
Sleepless in Ponyville could have been Stare Master 2.0 electric boogaloo where they spend 21 whole minutes in the everfree forest.
What's most retarded about this (unless they're walking a safe forest) is that Rainbow Dash is telling tales of dangerous creatures(only pony-related creatures) as if they don't exist in Equestria and truth be told corrupted evil ponies should be a myth, not real.
Now a story about a cockatrice yeah that's scary for them. THE PLANTS GROWING ON THEIR OWN, yeah that's scary.
But weirdly enough the ponies just charge into a manticore head on, they find the everfree forest growing on its own much scarier than the inhabitants inside of it.
